What data to check in June and Autumn

The June checking exercise is the only opportunity to check that we have assigned the correct KS4 pupils for 2025 to 2026 provisional performance measures.

All school types should take part.

There will be a separate KS4 Autumn checking exercise in October. This will run for 2 weeks and you can only request to:

  • remove a pupil who was not on your June checking exercise list
  • merge 2 duplicate pupil records

You will not be able to request any other amendments in the Autumn exercise. You must request all other amendments during the June exercise.

You cannot ask to remove a pupil in the Autumn exercise if you have already asked for their removal in the June exercise.
